"Mid gold. Super-tangy on the nose and then some honeyed richness on the palate counterpointed by real tension. Exciting wine by any measure. Real race and chiselled texture. Green-fruit flavours. Very complete already, yet it seems like a coiled spring in terms of future development. Drink 2021- 2035."

'Hauts de Husseau, one of Montlouis' highest vineyards at 200 m (660 ft), is a single plot of 70- to 90-year-old vines. Blot chose it for its interesting geology, apparently: very thin flinty soils on a limestone base. Initially this was sold as Rémus Plus, but the name was changed to Hauts de Husseau with the 2015 vintage. This seemed to me to produce perhaps the single most exciting range.' - Jancis Robinson.

Domaine de La Taille Aux Loups is situated not far from Vouvray. Their 45 hectares of vineyards are planted exclusively with Chenin Blanc. Jacky Blot purchased the Domaine in 1989. He was regarded as one of France's most revered and talented winemakers, a true pioneer of Loire Chenin Blanc. With the passing of Jacky in 2023, Jean Phillippe carries on his legacy.
