JN Wine, in partnership with The Merchant Hotel, Belfast, is delighted to invite you to an evening celebrating the wines of Château Montrose this March.
A Second Growth Grand Cru Classé of the Saint-Estèphe appellation, Château Montrose has long been regarded by connoisseurs as approaching First Growth status. Over the past two decades, under the stewardship of the Bouygues family, the estate has benefited from significant investment in both the vineyard and cellar, with a clear focus on precision viticulture and a terroir-driven philosophy. The result is a range of wines defined by depth, intricacy and refinement – hallmarks of one of Bordeaux’s most progressive estates.
We will also present wines from Château Tronquoy, a neighbouring Bouygues family property, offering a compelling expression of the Saint-Estèphe and notable value for collectors seeking classical claret with definition and balance.
Romain Bellone, Commercial Director of Château Montrose, will personally guide guests through a tasting of selected recent vintages, accompanied by a paired menu created by the talented team at The Merchant. Also in attendance will be Arthur Nicolas, European Export, Duclot, offering further insight into these wines.
The dinner will be held in the Cocktail Lounge (formerly the Champagne Lounge) at The Merchant on Thursday 26th March. A reception with canapés in The Great Room lobby will commence at 7.15pm, with dinner served at 8pm.
Tickets are priced at £225 per person. With places extremely limited, early booking is strongly recommended.
