Finca La Ponza was planted in 2013. The silty soils have a very calcareous surface, the cool climate and high altitude favour the health and ripening of the grapes.

Made of 100% Tempranillo Blanco variety and aged in French oak barrels for a period of 36 months and the rest in the bottle until completing its ageing for a minimum period of 2 years.

In 1988 a winegrower from Murillo de Rio Leza discovered that a vine of Tempranillo produced black and white grapes at the same time. This spontaneous genetic mutation, close to albinism, give rise to Tempranillo Blanco. This Tempranillo Blanco has been picked manually in Paco García's Finca La Ponza vineyard.
