      Tasting Notes and Description
Granit has a bright, lemon-yellow colour, exhibiting elegant aromas with more mineral notes. The taste is crisp, dry, and persistent, with more earthy and stony flavours. There is a sensation of saltiness on the palate, reflecting the impact of the granite soils on the Alvarinho vines.

A great accompaniment to Mediterranean cuisine such as seafood, grilled fish or oven baked fatty fish. It also pairs well with white and smoked meats, mature cheeses and delicate Asian dishes such as sushi or dumplings.

Soalheiro Granit reveals a more mineral profile of the Alvarinho grape. It's an Alvarinho that comes from a specific selection of vineyards planted vineyards above 300 metres in altitude, revealing the minerality that relates the soil of granite origin of the terroir "Moncão and Melgaço" and Alvarinho, improved with bâtonnage and ageing on fine lees. The fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a higher temperature than usual in white wine, showing an elegant and more mineral driven aroma with a dry and persistent flavour.

"Granitic soils, as the name suggests, at around 400 m. The grapes are harvested by hand. After pressing, and before fermentation, the must is clarified. Fermentation takes place in stainless-steel vats at a higher temperature than is usual for white wine (22 °C) to avoid the fruit overpowering the site. Bâtonnage and ageing on the fine lees.
Very, very pale. Piercing lime and herbal freshness – smells very young, which it is. Even so, there is a touch of stony dustiness, which is what they are aiming for rather than just fruit. This is a little more intense than the 2023, more embryonic but with greater potential. The producer suggests matching this to seafood, grilled fish, or oven-baked fatty fish, white and smoked meats, mature cheeses, or delicate Asian dishes such as sushi or dumplings. Drink to 2030."

"A mineral- and acid-driven wine with aromas of wet stones, slate, lemons and a hint of white peaches. Very fresh, with focused, linear acidity, flavors of fresh lemons and a bright, salty finish. From a high-elevation parcel. Drink or hold."
