The wine is a deep red colour with violet hues. On the nose, fresh red fruit stands out with a marked floral presence, perfectly harmonised with the contribution of aromas of spices, cocoa and vanilla from its time in oak, giving it complexity. The sensation in the mouth is smooth with sweet and velvety tannins and a broad mouthfeel with a long finish.

Sophenia Wines are born at Gualtallary, Tupungato, Mendoza, Argentina at an elevation of 4000 feet above sea level. This is a privileged Terroir for the elaboration of complex and concentrated wines balanced with freshness and elegance. The pristine grapes are harvested by hand. A selection of plots is differentiated according to their quality, both for yield and for their expression. They are vinified separately, to obtain different styles as "cut components", and thus achieve better complexity. Aged in French oak barrels for ten to twelve months.

"For this Estate Reserva, Sophenia selects vineyards planted in the stony, limestone-rich soils of their property in Gualtallary, at an altitude of approximately 1,200 meters in the Uco Valley. It is aged for one year in 225- and 500-liter barrels, 8% of which are new oak. This is a concentrated Malbec with firm tannins, abundant tart black fruit, and a significant amount of herbal notes that provide freshness. An intense, concentrated wine, perfect for pairing with spiced roasted meats."
