100% Chardonnay. A Burgundy aged on lees with minimal batonnage. Typical of its kind, with notes of white flowers and crystalline citrus fruits, enhanced by a light toast from ageing in 20% new oak (mostly 400-500L barrels).

Owned by the Granger family until 2007, Domaine de la Monette was then taken over by Roelof and Marlon Ligtmans, Dutch wine enthusiasts and lovers of Burgundy. Sparing no effort, they began to restructure the estate & convert it to organic farming. With no family successor, they handed over the helm in December 2022 to Pierre-Etienne Chevallier, a young Burgundy winemaker, accompanied by his wife Lise.

The estate now covers 12.5 hectares, mainly in the Mercurey appellation, but also in Givry, Rully and Bouzeron. All the wines come from their own vines, which are entirely managed using organic farming methods.

“The 2023 Bourgogne Blanc originates from vines in the Bouzeron appellation and offers more complexity and nuance than the Bouzeron itself, with well-defined veins of yellow fruit.
