      Tasting Notes and Description
Classic Margaux bouquet with aromas of spring flowers, blackcurrant, graphite and cedar. Eloquent medium to full body with soft and fine tannins, good acidity. Great freshness on the palate displaying juicy redcurrant and blackberry notes alongside classic Margaux notes of pencil shavings and cinnamon.

Château Le Coteau is one of the last family-owned properties in the prestigious Margaux appellation. After working with his father who passed on all his experience to him, Eric now cultivates the land with passion and humility. Eric Léglise cultivates the vines planted by his family with the greatest respect for the terroir and the environment. No herbicides or insecticides are used, making the vineyard an eco-system rich in biodiversity.

"This is a medium-bodied, beautifully elegant and faultless Margaux that shines more for its complexity and elegance than for its power. It is impeccably balanced and well worth seeking out."
      93 points.
      Jeb Dunnuck, jebdunnuck.com (April 2022)

"A little known family-owned Margaux estate owned by Eric Leglise, located in Arsac to the west of the appellation a little back from the river. Lovely sappy plum and blackberry fruits with floral aromatics that lift this out of the glass and a savoury, mouthwatering finish - this is a really charming wine. Tasted twice. A value pick."
      92 points.
      Jane Anson, Decanter (May 2020)

"Blackberries, blackcurrants, mushrooms, walnuts and baking spices on the nose. Medium-bodied with fine tannins. Silky and juicy with an elegant finish. Pretty Margaux. Drink after 2023."
