A beautiful blend of 60% Grenache, 20% Syrah and 20% old vine Carignan.

Domaine Roche comprises of 25 hectares of vineyards, where the vines have an average age of 50 years. Located in the beautiful village of Cairanne in the Southern Rhône Valley, the terroir is clay limestone.

Despite being one of the youngest winemakers in Cairanne and owning one of the newest domaines in the village, Romain Roche is descended from generations of winegrowers. He currently farms 25 hectares on a rocky plain bordering Rasteau and Plan de Dieu.

In January 2023 James visited the Southern Rhône, visiting domaines and tastings hundreds of wines. It is fair to say that the wines of Domaine Roche left an impression. We are thrilled to share Romain's wines with you.

Tasted blind. Lots of bright, inviting fruit on the nose. Lovely fine-grained tannins give structure and there is a lick of salinity, which complements the blue fruits on the palate. Lovely, long, structured finish. Drink to 2029."
