Fewer than sixty carefully selected casks come together to create The Glenturret 12 Years Old - crafted by hand and forming the heart of the range. American oak casks drive the salted caramel sweetness whilst European oak layers the dried fruits and spices leading to a full rich single malt at 46.4% ABV. Never overpowering, but enhancing and developing to give a rich, layered complexity of flavour and a deep russet colour. Hedgerow fruits and maturing oak closes. Rich raisins and sultanas open, vanilla and cinnamon follow. Ginger and hints of nutmeg are warming. Hedgerow fruits and maturing oak closes.
