      Tasting Notes and Description
Always offering wonderful value and a great favourite that won't break the bank. It always punches above its weight and its packed full of ripe blackberry fruit. It punches well above its standing and will give great pleasure from 2024 and beyond.

Château Senejac has a long history in the Medoc. While the property dates back to the 1500s, vines were not planted for a few hundred years until some point in the 18th century. The estate remained in the hands of the family for close to two centuries. The de Guigne family owned the property from 1860 until 1999, when they sold Château Senejac to Lorraine Cordier, the owner of Château Talbot in Saint-Julien and her husband Thierry Rustmann. Lorraine Cordier passed away in 2011. Today, Château Senejac is managed by the sister of Lorraine Cordier, Nancy Bignon Cordier.

"This shows aromas of blackcurrants and black cherries with cocoa, pinecones, toasted spices and nutshell. Medium-bodied with round and polished tannins and a fine texture. Some delicious fruit character coming through turning to a chalky and crushed stone yet juicy finish. Try in 2024."
      93 points. James Suckling, jamessuckling.com (November 2022)

"54% Cabernet Sauvignon, 34% Merlot, 6% Petit Verdot, 6% Cabernet Franc. Restrained cedar and dark-fruit aromas. Juicy and appetising on the palate with a good depth of fruit and finely honed tannins. Competent and balanced. Good medium-term drinking. Should be Good Value. Drink 2024 - 2032."
16.5 points. James Lawther MW, jancisrobinson.com (November 2022)
