The douROSA wines are blended to be easy and approachable wines for immediate drinking. The 2020 is medium bodied with generous, ripe red fruits and a touch of herbaceousness, that is balanced by smooth tannins that give this wine a certain elegance.

This wine is perfect with BBQ, smoked meats, and sardines. A delicious wine when served alongside a sourdough pizza.

Still largely unexplored, the terroir in the Douro offers incredible opportunity. None more so than La Rosa's, whose vines rise dramatically out of the river with the imposing Vale do Inferno vineyard and climb steadily upwards to top out at 500m with Lamelas, whose magnificent views overlook the very heart of the region. The estate's grapes are category A - the very best the Douro has to offer.

"The approachable red 2022 Dourosa Tinto is harmonious and balanced, produced in a fruit-driven, clean and modern style, with fine tannins and some clout to stand up to food but approachable and easy to drink. It's a blend of Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca and Tinta Roriz that matured in stainless steel and has a moderate 13.5% alcohol. 25,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in May 2024. Drink to 2028."
