Gavi di Gavi is a classic white wine from Piedmont, northern Italy, elabortated from or the Cortese di Gavi variety. Sleek and complex aromas on the nose reminiscent of aniseed, fennel, some freshly cut grass and a slight spiciness. But also fresh fruit such as grapes, melon, citrus and granny Smith apples. On the palate initially creamy with a medium body, then fresh minerality and with a little chalkyness on the long pleasant, energetic finish.

The Pico Maccario Winery was founded in 1997 in Mombaruzzo (Piedmont), on a property of 85 hectares of vineyards in one piece in the heart of the Barbera d’Asti DOCG appellation. From the beginning, brothers Pico and Vitaliano Maccario have chosen modern methods to manage their vineyards and produce wine, due in equal parts to their personal taste and young age of their winery.
