A juicy, quaffable Grenache made in a low intervention manner. Light-bodied with bright raspberry, orange, and black pepper flavours. Can be served slightly chilled!

Domaine de Ventenac is found about 10km north of Carcassonne in the appellation of Cabardes which, because of its location between the Massif Cantral on one side and the Pyrenees on the other, enjoys a climate which is an interesting mix of Mediterranean and Atlantic influences ensuring ideal conditionsfor growing all sorts of grape varieties.

Ventenac's winemaking philosophy is to allow their unique terroir to shine through in the wines, presenting them as naturally as possible and raising in large old oak, terra cotta amphorae and concrete vats to enhance and showcase their purity. They are also experimenting with winemaking without sulfites but deploying non-saccharomyces yeast to avoid spoilage from the likes of brettanomyces.

Le Paria - It was once an undesirable variety planted in their locality. "Not ripe enough" for some, "not in the right place" for others, "just perfect" according to us!! This variety is the Grenache and the result is in this bottle. A juicy, quaffable wine to share with free-thinking drinkers.
