Ruby red colour with purple highlights. The nose is complex with ripe fruit and hints of vanilla. On the palate the body is full and soft with a velvety feel.

The powerful tannins cleanse the palate when eating meat dishes, especially those cooked with a tomato sauce, and when paired with aged and strong cheese.

The Moris family enjoys a long winemaking tradition that spans many generations. They own an enormous amount of land with 37 hectares of vines in the Massa Marittima area and 33 hectares, called "Poggio la Mozza", in the Morellino di Scansano denomination. They also run a fantastic agriturismo should you plan to visit them.

Avvoltore is the company's flagship wine and the pride of creator, Adolfo Parentini. A blend of indigenous Sangiovese with untraditional Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah, all grown in the clay-limestone soil of the "Poggio dell'Avvoltore" Hill. This terroir produces wines with strong and powerful tannins, felt when savouring the wine. The first vintage was in 1988 and the blend has changed little in subsequent vintages. This year the blend is comprised of Sangiovese (75%), Cabernet Sauvignon (20%) and Syrah (5%).
