      Tasting Notes and Description
      Magnificent Magnum (1.5 litre)

La Jasse Vielle Vignes 2021 displays an attractive, intense ruby colour with shimmering purple reflections. The nose is distinguished by scents of blackcurrant, black cherry, eucalyptus, cedar wood, toast and sweet spice such as liquorice.

The palate is a pleasure: medium to full-bodied, supple, round, and well-structured. It is lifted by a freshness and elegance, that finishes with complex notes of cedar and warm Languedoc herbs.
Bruno Bruno Le Breton, owner and winemaker of Domaine de la Jasse, describes the 2021 vintage as "northerly" and a "winemaker vintage".

Tested early in the season by spring frosts which reduced overall yields by up to 40%, the fruit which remained showed beautiful acidity and freshness, and the result is a La Jasse Vieilles Vignes Rouge this year which emulates the classic Cabernet wines of the Médoc further north with lifted cedar and cassis aromas, a noble structure, and beautiful sapidity and length on the palate.
This wine will age wonderfully for 5 -10 years in ideal cellar conditions.

Domaine de la Jasse is situated some 15 kilometres from Montpellier in the heart of the most dynamic and leading wine area in the Mediterranean part of France. With over 300 hours of sunshine, limestone soils and old vineyards, the Domaine is perfectly suited to produce high quality wines, that reflect the climate, terroir and people. Domaine de La Jasse is one of the leading wine Domaine in this region, where the very talented winemaker Bruno le Breton, works with the best wine-innovation and techniques and has won more than 30 international gold medals with several of his wines.

"The first wine of the house and the one I have been vinifying for 27 years, putting more effort and more love in with each passing year. A ripe Cabernet Sauvignon; a Cabernet with the freshness of liquorice and eucalyptus combined with the peppery spices of this Bordeaux grape variety." Bruno Le Breton, Winemaker at Domaine La Jasse.
