Obtained by selecting an ancient clone of Merlot, this is Perusini's flagship red wine. A spicy wine with hints of chocolate and hedgerow berry fruit, it has a long and soft palate with notes of spice and toast thanks to its ageing in French oak barrels.

Ideal for pairing with roasted and barbecued meat.

The Perusini vineyards (Located right on the border of Slovenia, in NE Italy) are one of the 50 few listed by Luigi Veronelli in “I vignaioli storici” (The Italian Wine-growers Bible). Today the estate is run by Giampaolo’s daughter, Teresa, an art historian like her uncle, but also a keen cultivator who divides her time between her studies and running the estate together with her husband Giacomo de Pace and her three sons.

The winery are making some of the most elegant, subtle, and gastronomic wines in the area.
