A classic dry wine with fine fruit and balance. Riesling is a very aromatic, fruity grape that is produced in an enormous range of styles. This wine is bright, dry and full of zest. Well-judged stone fruit aromas along with nods of citrus make this wine long and balanced. The ability to express the origin and soil in which the plants grow has made this grape variety one of the most popular in Germany for centuries.

Whilst crisp and fresh it has a touch of body and richness that makes a great partner to seafood such as scallops and calamari.

In the Northern Pfalz, in Wachenheim, on the edge of the Mittelhaardt, you will find the traditional winery, whose roots go back deep into the history of Palatinate viticulture. When Ernst Loosen took over the winery in 1996 it already had an eventful, almost 250 year history behind it. But it was the prospect of producing great, dry wines that attracted him to the Pfalz region. We believe that Villa Wolf offers the best conditions for this.
