Dark garnet in colour, with cherry reflections, clean and bright. An intense and mature bouquet with floral aromas of plum and black cherry. At the end the aroma becomes more complex with notes of spices and woods. In the mouth, the wine is soft and smooth with aromas of ripe fruit. Flavourful and elegant.

An excellent choice to serve with Mediterranean dishes such as roasted vegetables, poultry recipes as well as grilled red meat. Intense poultry dishes such as chicken muamba, chicken curry and duck rice in the oven also pair harmoniously with this wine. It is excellent with cured sheep’s milk cheeses.

Ramos Pinto owns 90% of the vineyards that supply their winemaking needs, making it close to an “estate” grown property. In the Douro Valley, this is the largest proportion of vineyard ownership in relation to production, giving it a high degree of control over viticultural methods and harvest time.
