Pleasant golden hue with brown undertones. Numerous fresh fruit aromas (orange peel, quince, and plum) can be detected in the nose. After opening, the bottle emits smoky scents of anise, mint, and licorice. On the palate, tannins are silky, and we detect the same spicy undertones as well as smoky coffee and tobacco smells. Excellent length.

Francis Darroze had a natural aptitude for the culinary arts and a preference for tradition and authenticity as the son of renowned chef Jean Darroze. He turned this into a passionate pursuit of high-quality, unique estate Armagnacs, beginning in 1974 as a trader and producer of old Bas-Armagnacs. With the utmost regard for the spirit, alcohol content is never lowered through water dilution but rather through years of evaporation while ageing. Agents for blending and colouring are also forbidden. Additionally, the Armagnac is only bottled upon request to extend the ageing process. The company is now run by Francis' son Marc, an oenologist by training.
