      Tasting Notes and Description
The aromas of white flowers, peach, grilled almond and lemon peel dominate on top of a mineral background. The body is full and warm on the palate with a lively and energetic finish. This wine is the epitome of an open, attractive white Burgundy. Its touch of spice and toast, baked apples and light minerality are well integrated and ready to go. Drink now.

Ideal as an aperitif, with charcuterie or goats cheese.

The philosophy of Olivier Leflaive is to produce simply great wines. There are no secrets to this – everything starts in the vines with good grapes. Olivier, Franck and their team are lucky to have strong relationships with some of the best winegrowers on the Côte, people who grow their vines with care and attention.

The wine comes from a blend of around sixty selected plots located both in the village of Puligny-Montrachet and also in Meursault. Three plots of the Côte Chalonnaise and ten in the Hautes Côte de Beaune complete the supplies. The wine is produced like the greatest white Burgundy.

Ageing: 14 months (including 5 months of mass blending)
80% in barrels (including 10% new barrels) and 20% in vats.

"In bottle though there will be a second bottling shortly. Pale lemon colour. Not much nose at first. Then a little apple fruit with a light citrus rinse. 10% tank, the rest in wood. Quite full bodied, with a richness to the white fruit helped along by a touch of new wood, 12% in the blend. Drink from 2024-2027."
88 points. Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy (October 2023)

"Ripe lemony citrus. Open and fragrant. Nicely dry texture lifts this above simple Chardonnay. That friction complemented by the creamy mouthfeel before the dry finish. Drink to 2027."

Julia Harding MW, jancisrobinson.com (January 2024)

"Very snappy and crisp on first sip, this gains depth and complexity in toasted almonds and butter as it opens. Alive with crisp apples, lemon zest and a mineral tang that gives a very lively texture and great balance. Medium-bodied. Blended from 60 sites in the region, it was partially barrel fermented. Drink or hold."
