      Tasting Notes and Description
Deep and intense, dark garnet colour. Aromas of black and red fruits, such as strawberry, blackberry, blueberry with spicy and liquorice hints. Garrigue and black olive on the palate. A fat and smooth wine, with volume. Long lasting aromas in the mouth.

Pair with roast lamb, rib roast or stuffed vine leaves.

60% Syrah 40% Grenache from 20-year-old vines, aged in concrete tanks for 12 months minimum. The vineyard has been managed in organic farming since 2006 and biodynamic practices have been introduced for 5 years.

Château de Lascaux gets its origins from the Cavalier family. From some 20 hectares when they took over in 1984, it has grown to its present size of almost 85 hectares of vines surrounded by 300 hectares of garrigue scrub.

The vineyard is totally integrated into a natural environment of incredibly rich biodiversity, providing it with protection and diversity of expression. All of these factors contribute to the quality and originality for which Château de Lascaux is celebrated. These same reasons also made it an unavoidable reference point in Pic Saint Loup and Languedoc.

"Certified organic (Ecocert) and biodynamic (Demeter). 70% Syrah, 20% Grenache, 10% Mourvèdre. Destemmed, three to four days' maceration in concrete and conical tanks, aged in concrete tanks for 12 months.
A real step up in terms of quality and intensity from the Garrigue wines. There's a beautiful violet-dark, fragrant sheen to the fruit, reflecting through the fine-ground tannins, which clasp and curve around the fruit with ease. Every element has come together, harmoniously, gracefully. The winemaking has been pulled back enough to let the true spirit of Pic St-Loup shine. Well done. Drink to 2028. 17 points."
