Pale ruby in colour, with a nose that subtly blends violets and very ripe red berry fruits. On the palate, seductive velvety elegance overlays an attractive weave of fine tannins, highlighting the minerality of the terroir.

Massaya, meaning that magical time at twilight, is the creation of two dynamic brothers who have harnessed the potential of their fabulous terroir to the know-how of two french winemaking dynasties. Together they continue a tradition since biblical times for great wine from Lebanon.

Ramzi & Sami Ghosn, Daniel & Frédéric Brunier (Vieux Télégraphe) and Dominique Hébrard (ex Cheval Blanc). This is a partnership between two courageous brothers Ramzi and Sami Ghosn of the Lebanon, and two far-sighted French families.

Location: the grapes (Grenache noir 50%, Mourvèdre 50%) for the 'cap Est' are grown on the hillsides in the most north-easterly portion of the Beqaa Valley at 1,200m altitude, in the Raas Baalbeck area. An arid and continental environment, where Mount Lebanon and the Anti-Lebanon Mountains meet.
