The Perrin Family's range of wines enable you to discover the richness of the Southern Rhône Valley and its diverse terroirs. With the same expertise and the same passion as for Château de Beaucastel, the family prides itself in bringing out the true character of each terroir.

"Perrin says, "For me, 2018 is a top vintage. The tannins are long and deep." He compares 2017 to 2007 for the dry weather, hot days and cool nights. Interestingly, the family is moving away from stainless steel for its red wines, using more and more concrete instead."

Famille Perrin’s Vacqueyras is a beautiful example of Grenache-based wines from the Southern Rhône Valley, with an impressive aromatic expression, structured body, and great aging potential. An 8 hectare (19.77 acre) vineyard farmed and run by the Beaucastel team. Located in the Commune of Sarrians, south of the Dentelles de Montmirail. Old vines (average age of 50 years).

Produced on a very clayey terroir with stones from the Ouvèze river, the Grenache is dominant and develops a fleshy wine. It's typical aromas of chocolate, cherry, and fig match beautifully with the Syrah (violet, spice, licorice). Grenache 75%, Syrah 25%.

Beautiful deep purple colour. The nose is powerful, with notes of black fruit like blackberries and peppery spices. The palate is very elegant, with a nice tension, and lets off aromas of black olives and liquorice.

The ideal match for this wine is a leg of venison with Gentian, sautéed potatoes with onions and garlic.
