Billecart-Salmon Demi Sec NV, 75cl

A fabulous demi-sec from an outstanding Champagne producer. For those familiar with Billecarts range it is slightly more rounded and creamier in style than their non-vintage and drinking stunningly well now. Its pale gold colour is beautiful, emitting a constant ballet of fine, regular and persistent bubbles in the flute. Its nose is lively with a hint of delicate white flowers and envolves towards aromas of buttered brioche. On the palate it is sweet with characteristic elegance and toasty honeyed flavours. A long round palate with a nutty spicy finish. Ideal when served with patisseries or chocolate cake; it also turns a brioche afternoon snack into a unique experience.
