A deep ruby in colour. An intense nose with spicy notes (especially black pepper) and red berries. On the palate this balanced wine offers very round tannins and fresh berries aromas, with some floral and spicy flavours.

60% Grenache, 40% Syrah.

The Terrasses range reflects the balance and generosity of the terroir to which the cool climate of Mont Ventoux brings. Profoundly anchored in the Ventoux terroir, Grenache and Syrah express themselves here with brilliance, indulgence and suppleness. Pesquie have worked their vineyard according to biodynamic practices since 2015.

Terrasses is an easy wine to match. With simple and convivial dishes such as pizzas, grilled meats, pasta Bolognese, country salads or beef carpaccio. It also works with more ambitious dishes such as stuffed vegetables, terrines, guinea fowl and turkey, or offal dishes like veal liver with parsley and kidneys Provençal style. Serve at about17°c.

The grapes were crushed and destemmed. Optimal colour and aroma were obtained by fifteen days of maceration. Traditional winemaking is followed by a long rest. Then the wine was naturally clarified through a series of decanting at select times, no fining. No ageing, bottled at the estate.

"A rough blend of 60% Grenache and 40% Syrah (there are a few other varieties in there), the 2021 Ventoux Terrasses offers a juicy Grenache nose of ripe red and black berries, peppery herbs, and violets, with some chalky minerality that comes through on the palate. Medium-bodied, lively, and fresh, with good density, it delivers ripe tannins and a great finish. It should easily be an outstanding wine."
