Pale lemon with green inflections of colour, fresh hay, grass and garrigue herb on the nose, nuanced and subtle. The medium weight palate gives rise to notes of honeysuckle, apricot, citrus and carried by a refreshing and brisk acidity. This is a wine to serve alongside elegant and subtle roast chicken and dishes. Perfect for autumnal fayre.

The "Ugly Duckling' but only in name and certainly not in character. For the blend of 2022, the wine consists of 60% Grenache Gris, 20% Clairette, and 20% Marsanne.

Despite being one of the youngest winemakers in Cairanne and owning one of the newest domaines in the village, Romain Roche is descended from generations of winegrowers. He currently farms 25 hectares on a rockly plain bordering Rasteau and Plan de Dieu.

James recently visited the Southern Rhône, visiting domaines and tastings hundreds of wines. It is fair to say that the wines of Domaine Roche left an impression, we are thrilled to bring these wines to Ireland and to share the pleasure that Romain imbues his wines with.
