Pale lemon with green inflections of colour, fresh hay, grass and garrigue herb on the nose, nuanced and subtle. The medium weight palate gives rise to notes of honeysuckle, apricot, citrus and is carried by a refreshing and brisk acidity. Perfect alongside roast chicken dishes and autumnal fayre.

"Ugly Duckling" in name but certainly not in character. This Southern Rhône white is made entirely of Grenache Gris, not an official Southern Rhône varietal. Hence it has been simply labelled as "Vin de France".

Despite being one of the youngest winemakers in Cairanne and owning one of the newest domaines in the village, Romain Roche is descended from generations of winegrowers. He currently farms 25 hectares on a rocky plain bordering Rasteau and Plan de Dieu.

In January 2023 James visited the Southern Rhône, visiting domaines and tastings hundreds of wines. It is fair to say that the wines of Domaine Roche left an impression. We are thrilled to share Romain's wines with you.
