The main feature of Le Sabounet is its fruity character allied to youthful freshness and smooth elegance. It is a wine made to be consumed in its youth. The grape varieties are the traditional Rhône staples mainly Grenache, Syrah & Cinsault. The wine is matured in traditional tanks for about 8 days. There is daily temperature checking and remontage, where the wine is drained out of the bottom of its tank pumped up to the top and sprayed over the skins.

This is a superb wine at a good price - an ideal accompaniment to any meaty family meal or barbecue. Full flavoured with helpings of spice and red berry fruit, the wine has a long, rounded finish, closing with tones of liquorice and earth.
