JN Wine is accredited to run the (WSET) courses. The WSET courses provide nationally-recognised qualifications for Wine Industry professionals and enthusiastic amateurs. The courses are all examined and certificated within a QCA-approved National Qualifications Framework.
WSET courses are the backbone of the wine industry in the UK and Ireland and a must for anybody considering joining it. They provide a set of courses that are nationally and internationally recognised.
WSET Level 1 Award in Wines is run as a one day course. It bridges the gap between the public and the wine trade. No previous experience of Wine Tasting is necessary to register on this course.
• This course is also a good introductory first course for the wine enthusiast who wishes to study in a structured way: the qualification will cover skills such as identifying wine styles, practice of storing and serving wine, and food and wine matching.
• The WSET Level 1 Award in Wines is intended to establish the basic skills and product knowledge required in the service and retail of wine; it is ideal for preparing a person for their first job in hospitality or retail.
