Once a year, just before the wine is bottled, we have the opportunity to offer our customers the chance to reserve some of our annual allocation of the new vintage at Domaine de la Jasse! Until the 30th April 2016, you have the rare opportunity to reserve some of what is probably one of La Jasse’s BEST RED vintages ever.
Domaine de la Jasse is situated some 15 kilometres from Montpellier in the heart of the most dynamic wine region in the Mediterranean area of France. Its name comes from the shelter and shade, known in the local dialect as “Jasse”, provided by the Domaine’s Plane tree. The iconic Plane tree, which is almost one hundred and ten years old provided the inspiration for the La Jasse trademark and logo.

Today La Jasse is one of the leading high quality wine Domains in this region, where the very talented winemaker Bruno le Breton, employs the best wine innovations and techniques and has won 20 international GOLD medals with several of his wines.
One of La Jasse’s main secrets is the involvement of Patrick Léon, the former winemaker of Château Mouton-Rothschild. Patrick Léon’s experience and credentials is very impressive; he has worked with Alexis Lichine at Château Lascombes, ‘Opus One’ with Robert Mondavi and Château Les Trois Croix with his son Bertrand. Patrick Léon’s involvement is invaluable and a solid guarantee for exceptional high quality wines at La Jasse!
The growing season at La Jasse was blessed with excellent weather conditions unlike other French wine regions. The weather conditions at Domaine de la Jasse have been incredibly good. They had an EXCEPTIONAL harvest!
Jasse Vieilles Vignes 2013
Mainly Cabernet Sauvignon accompanied with Merlot, this vintage has been aged in the best quality 225 litre French oak barrels for a 12 month period. Beautifully round with plenty of blackberry and spice, along with a subtle hint of vanilla from the oak. The tannins are silky soft, perfectly integrated with its fresh acidity, which provides the ultimate elegance and a lingering long finish! A great companion with grilled red meats, duck and game dishes or is just as good with mature cheese. It is perfectly ready to drink when bottled (decanting recommend), will develop more in the coming years.
