In the early 1900s, the monastery cellars and adjacent residence were purchased by Joseph Arnaud, a winegrower and flour merchant. His son-in-law, Constant Huchet, took over the 6-hectare vineyard in 1945, tending the vines with passion and precision into his eighties. In 1971, Constant’s son Yves Huchet joined the domaine, followed by his grandson Jérémie Huchet in 2001—now the fourth generation to carry the family’s winemaking tradition forward.
As both a winemaker and vigneron, Jérémie Huchet brings deep respect for his heritage and a clear vision for the future. Under his stewardship, Domaine de la Chauvinière continues to produce authentic Muscadet wines that are expressive, mineral-driven, and true to their granite terroir.
Jérémie remains committed to traditional methods, aging his wines in large oak foudres and barrels housed in the original monastery cellars. His goal: to reveal the unique identity of Château-Thébaud granite through Muscadets of depth, freshness, and age-worthy elegance.
