      Tasting Notes and Description
Murmure rapidly develops aromas of blackberry, cherry and red fruit. The intense fruitiness and the presence of spicy notes offers a second wine that is full of pleasure and conviviality.

Crafted in small quantities since 2010, this wine receives specific attention, in equal amounts in the vineyard as in the cellar. Like its elder brother, it presents a loyal reflection of this privileged terroir.
Securely anchored in the history of Larcis Ducasse, Murmure, nevertheless, possesses its own identity: It is a gem of simplicity, elegance and delicacy.

Imbued with poetry, this signature evokes the light trickle of the stream that descends the hillside, the whisper of the wind in the vine rows, the buzzing of the earth, the secret movement of the passion of the winegrower, the subtlety of the aromas.

A marriage between Merlot (97%) and Cabernet Franc (3%), carefully allocated, magnifying the balance and the character of the aromas and the tannins of this wine, finely worked like lace.

Average age of the vineyard: 35 years old. Terroir: 10% of limestone-clay plateau on asteriated limestone, 55% of south facing terraces - very shallow, loamy clay soils on asteriated limestone, 35% of limestone-clay colluvial soils on hillsides. Vineyard management: ongoing search for balances thanks to traditional light ploughing, spontaneous natural growth or inter-row planting. Continual programme of renovation of the vines: grubbing up, complantation and replanting. Numerous manual interventions: debudding, leaf thinning and green harvest. 100% handpicked harvest. Harvests: Merlot from September 21st to 26th, Cabernet Franc on October 1st and 4th. Vatting of 25-28 days and 16 months of ageing in 225l and 500l French oak barrels.

"Blackberries and blueberries with some raspberry, herbal and moss notes on the nose. It's full-bodied with elegant tannins. Juicy and fleshy texture on the palate. Savory. Such balance. Flavorful finish. Try after 2025."
