Echo De Lynch Bages 2008

Pack of 12 x 750 ml Bottle "This is the re-christened Haut-Bages Averous. This has light cedary fruit on the nose, cigar box with sous-bois aromas developing in the glass. Good definition - very "classic" Pauillac. The palate is medium-bodied, grainy tannins, good acidity, edgy, blackberry, cedar and a touch of black pepper towards the finish. Moderate length. A decent Deuxième Vin. Tasted April 2009." (Neal Martin, ERobertParker.com, April 2009).

Domaine De Cambes 2008

  • N/A
Pack of 12 x 750 ml Bottle The wine is produced by Francois Mitjavile - one of the most gifted winemakers not only in Saint-Émilion, but in the whole of Bordeaux. The district of Côtes de Bourg is situated about 30 km south-west of Saint-Émilion. Domaine de Cambes separates the Dordogne river from the Roc de Cambes vineyard. The soil is a blend of chalk and clay with vines on average 50 years old. The vineyard's proximity to the river ensures a stable micro-climate, and helps prevent frost damage. The wine is predominantly Merlot with about 25% Cabernet Franc. The wine has lovely balance and the palate presents notes of truffles and tobacco. Read More......

Langoa Barton 2008

  • N/A
Pack of 12 x 750 ml Bottle "Impressively big, muscular, and formidably backward, this dense, full-bodied 2008 possesses beautiful fruit, but extremely high tannins as well as a blockbuster style that is difficult to fully appraise. It will require at least 6-8 years of bottle age, and should last for three decades. It will probably be at least 2-3 points better than my conservative score suggests." (eRobertParker.com, April 2009).

Tertre Roteboeuf 2008

  • N/A
Pack of 12 x 750 ml Bottle "Amazingly dark. Almost outrageously sweet. Such a statement - hence the exclamation mark with the score. This is a wine to love or loathe. François Mitjavile is surely almost teasing us with this eccentric wine. Burnt. Almost porty nose though actually fresh enough on the palate. Exotic, actually enough acid. So sweet it's almost chocolate. But lively too. Graceful and tender. Liquorice, treacle and leather. A remarkable wine. 17.5!" (Jancis Robinson Purple Pages, 15 April 2009).
