Negly Domaine De Boede Pavillon 2014 Pk6

Pack of 6 x 750 ml Bottle Domaine de Boede is a 25 ha property close to Chateau de la Negly. Made at Chateau de la Negly by the same exceptional team of winemakers, Didier Lacreu and Claude Gros, Domaine de Boede receives the same careful treatment accorded to the Neglyy wines. The vineyards are in the La Clape AOP close to the Mediterranean with soils of weathered sandstone, gravel and chalk. The grapes, Syrah and Cinsault, are hand harvested, hand-sorted, and rigorously selected at the sorting table. The grapes grapes are macerated for five days before fermentation. The Cinsault is aged in stainless steel while the Syrah ages in wood. The result is a fresh, bright wine with a nose that exudes aromas of ripe black fruits with earthy hints. The palate is full and well-balanced with a fresh spicy finish. Ideal with grilled meats, this is one of JN's most popular, great value wines whose lowly price belies a wine of elegance and quality. Secateurs Red Blend 2012 Pk6

Pack of 6 x 750 ml Bottle A A Badenhorst Family Wines received a 5-star rating in the influential and highly respected Platter's Guide to S African Wines, 2013 edition. The family took over an ancient winery in the up and coming Perdeberg area that had been built in the 1800s and had last been used in the 1930s. This meant fashionable concrete tanks and, according to the 2009 Platter Guide, a sizeable bat population. More importantly, they acquired 35 hectares of mature, dry-farmed bushvines, which clearly deliver great quality and complexity.
The wine was featured in Decanter's 58 great wines under £15: "Raspberry, plum and lollipop red fruits with a liquorice, pepper depth. Fruity roundness in the mouth supported by fine tannic backbone. Drink 2013 to 2016. 16.5 pts." (Decanter magazine, Feb 2013).
This estate has swiftly forged a reputation thanks to some stellar wines. The blend here is Cabernet Sauvignon, Carignan, Cinsault and Grenache. The result is a bright red berry and cherry-infused wine with a herbal edge. (Decanter magazine, April 2004).
Asked to recommend a great value "crowd pleaser" to buy by the case and pass out to neighbours top wine commentator Jancis Robinson replied: "A A Badenhorst Secateurs Blend, red or white, from South Africa. (JR in reply to Washington Post interview, 5 Dec 2013).

Secateurs Chenin Blanc 2014 Pk6

Pack of 6 x 750 ml Bottle Most of the Secateurs Chenin vines were planted the 1960s and tend to yield around 4 tons/hectare. The first Secateurs Chenin Blanc bottled under the Badenhorst Family Wines range was in 2009 and marked the start of a continuing affair with this most wonderful grape. The wine spends some time on its lees in concrete tanks and this important part of the maturation of the wine shows in the incredible texture and palate weight of this wine. The aromas are flinty with honey, orange blossom and white stone fruit notes.
The 2012 vintage received 92 points from Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, an outstanding score for such an affordable wine.
Our customers seem to agree, with Secateurs red and white consistently among our best sellers.

Bodegas Paco Garcia Rioja Seis 2013 Pk6

  • N/A

Pack of 6 x 750 ml Bottle The Paco Garcia wines have been a huge success since their appearance on our shelvs a couple of years ago. This is a new winery in the DO Rioja, focused on producing high quality wines, which respects the deeply rooted traditions of Rioja in tandem with the most modern winemaking techniques. The Rioja Seis spends 6 months in French oak barrels (seis being Spanish for six). This young wine retains the fruitiness and freshness of the Tempranillo grapes. It displays powerful aromatics and a velvety mouthfeel. In the glass, it is a youthful blackberry and ruby red colour, clean and bright. The nose is an aromatic profusion of strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and violets. On the palate, it is round and full with loads of fresh red fruit, floral tones and sweetness. The wine would be an ideal companion for light cheeses, salads, white meats and fish. It is also suitable for vegans and vegetarians. This wine received 88 points in the influential Penin Guide and was awarded the accolade of "4-star best buy". ((Penin Guide to Spanish Wine, 2015). Read More......
