Made from a single plot of Merlot, Le Bon Nobel is a wonderful, contemporary red wine from the Bordeaux area of France. Le Bon Nobel is barrel fermented and matured in French oak for 16 months. Blackberry, plum, hazelnut, truffle and cedar oak are among the characteristics that contribute to its rich and nuanced bouquet. The flavour is well-balanced and smooth, with a lengthy, gratifying finish. Decanting is advised since this wine opens up nicely with a little air.

At Château Picoron, they explore the potential of the great grape that is Merlot. All grown in plots surrounding the Château. The wines are not blended, each is produced from a single plot of grapes, from their 4.5ha vineyard. An honest expression of terroir on the famous Saint-Émilion clay & limestone ridge.

The wines are made following the Ouvipo philosophy (Ouvroir de Vins Potentiels). Made honouring natural and self-imposed constraints. The constraints of their region, Bordeaux, its varietals and the changing climate are the catalyst for the creation.
