      Tasting Notes and Description
ALLO has a yellow and silver bright colour. In this blend, Alvarinho, full of tropical fruit and structure, contrasts with Loureiro, floral and delicate, resulting in a lively yet elegant white wine. The moderately low alcohol content contributes to the wine's balance.

ALLO is perfect as an apéritif, ideal for a sunny day. It also pairs well with seafood, grilled fish, white meats, mature cheeses, smoked meats, or Asian and Mediterranean vegetable dishes.

ALLO's names comes from Alvarinho and Loureiro's initials, two noble grape varieties of the Minho Region in Northern Portugal. Loureiro, representing the majority (70%) of the blend, provides floral notes. Alvarinho, on the other hand, is responsible for the wine's structure. By combining the delicate nature of Loureiro with the confidence of Alvarinho, ALLO is a wine that embodies both the fun and serious sides of the terroir.

Quinta da Soalheiro were awarded among the best wine producers in the world by Wine & Spirits Magazine - "2017 top 100 Wineries” and "Top 100 Tasting & Road Show Invitation.”

"A briny loureiro and alvarinho blend with green apple and grapefruit. Medium-bodied and vibrant with tangy acidity. A blend of 70% loureiro with 30% alvarinho. Clean, lovely and easy. Drink now."

"I tasted again the 2023 Allo, their only Alvarinho wine that is not 100% Alvarinho, as it's a blend of 30% Alvarinho and 70% Loureiro. The Alvarinho provides structure, while the Loureiro imparts more balsamic notes, with florals and aromas of bay leaf ("Loureiro" means "bay leaf" in the Portuguese language). It has only 11.5% alcohol and is light and fresh with very good acidity. It has had almost no development since I tasted it last year; it remains youthful and aromatic, pale and clean, with the freshness from the year, which is noted by the parameters of pH 3.25 and 6.2 grams of acidity. The full clusters were pressed, then the must fermented in stainless steel, and the wine was kept with lees for two months. It's clean, precise and very easy to drink but also serious and with a dry finish. I think I underestimated it last year... 150,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in March 2023. Drink to 2029."
