      Tasting Notes and Description
A wine of intense and concentrated colour. Fine aroma, with suggestions of mature fruit and chocolate, in a smooth and harmonious combination. A smooth red, well structured in the mouth, and with balanced acidity.

Aragonez, Alicante Bouschet, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah.

With exceptional edaphoclimatic conditions settled between the Serra do Mendro and the Guadiana River, it presents the singularity of being the only region of the interior Alentejo to be influenced by the Atlantic Ocean.

Characterised by having great thermal amplitudes, that favour the perfect ripening of the grapes and also the great aromatic freshness profile of our Wines.

The Sobro forest is one of the most diverse eco-systems in the world.
With the name SOBROSO we wished to pay tribute to the tree that is intertwined with the history of Alentejo. In recent years 660 000 cork trees have been planted at Herdade do Sobroso.

"The 2019 Tinto is a blend of 30% each of Aragonez and Alicante Bouschet and 20% each of Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon, all aged for six months in used French oak. It comes in at 14.5% alcohol. I'm not sure this is a better wine than the Cellar Selection red this year, but it certainly has some arguments to make at half the price. This lacks the Cellar Selection's finesse and refinement, but it has more of a backbone and less oak impact. Thus, at least for the moment, it has a little more character. We'll see where this ends up in time, as both wines need a few years to come around, but right now this seems to be more or less the equal of the Cellar Selection for half the price. Bargain hunters take note. Drink 2021 - 2030."
