The Gerin family is located in the heart of the Côte-Rôtie vineyard, in the village of Ampuis, for 6 generations. This vineyard located 30km south of Lyon, is the northernmost appellation of the Rhone Valley and also one of the smaller, because it extends only about 280Ha. The influence of the Mediterranean and continental climates gives tannic wines, powerful, but also silky and elegant.

Today the estate extends over almost 12Ha, and the two sons of the family, Michael and Alexis, still have challenges to overcome with the plantations on a fabulous terroir of Côte-Rôtie "Les Lézardes", 4Ha to plant, the adventure is not ready to end...

The fruit for the Vin de France Viognier is sourced from granitic soils 50 kilometres south of Ampuis. A super glass of Viognier, exuding peaches and exotic fruits aromas. Medium to full bodied and with a lovely mouth feel. Ready to drink or can be aged an additional 3 years.

Pairs well with crème sauces, white flaky fishes or soft cheeses. Equally wonderful with Pâté & terrines.

"A restrained, neat style of Viognier, with a good sense of brightness and tension. Subtle violet and white pepper note. Good acidity, teamed with a touch of positive bitterness, helps to balance the alcohol. No great length, but this is very good nonetheless. Fermented and aged in stainless steel. Drink to 2024.
