Dark red with hues of purple. Medium intensity. An inviting, generous and balanced nose of milk chocolate and red berries, with a white pepper and spice lift. Medium bodied with a lovely and generous palate. Balanced fruit profile with a good amount of red berries. Classic cool climate Shiraz notes of coffee, sarsaparilla and pepper. Delicate and lively with silky tannin and a long, juicy finish.

Maturation took place in second-fill French oak barriques and hogsheads for eight months maturation before bottling.

The Coonawarra Series Shiraz is made in a ripe and generous style with elegance and spicy varietal characteristics, typical of this cool climate region. The majority of the blend is from Tim Kidman's block, with a smaller parcel coming from Rob McLeod at Tirricke Farms.
