The 2nd vintage of the much loved, Finca Bacara Crazy Grapes. Finca Bacara was established in 2016 when young, wine-loving couple, Iona and Santos, launched a project setting out a positive message about life, nature and wine, with an emphasis on price and quality.

Crazy Grapes tells a story based on human being and life itself through illustration and with a lot of imagination. An elaboration of how the grape variety Monastrell, known outside of Spain as Mourvèdre, thrives in the DOP of Jumilla. The D.O.P. of Jumilla is in the southeast of Spain, characterised by its huge plains and valleys. The climate of the region is sunny and arid, with little rain. The average annual temperature is around 16 degrees Winters are cold, reaching minus zero degrees. Summers are hot, exceeding temperatures of 40 degrees.

The grapes were chosen among the best plots, selecting only those that in our understanding could express what we were seeking for with this wine. The harvest was manual and mechanical.

Cherry red and clean with bright colours fitting of his youth. Floral, attractive aromas on the nose. With hints of ripe fruit and a balsamic background - gained from 3 months in American oak. On the palate it is medium bodied, easy going and balanced, with correct acidity, a smooth finish and persistence.

Ideal for salads, red meat, lamb and fish, paella, cured cheese.
