      Tasting Notes
At Cline Family Cellars we seek complexity, elegance, power and sense of place in every wine we make. We craft our wines combining timeless techniques and modern technology that work in concert with each varietal, utilising thoughtful wine growing, gentle handling, attentive sorting, and meticulous blending to achieve wines of great flavour at a great price.

Cline's Pinot Noir vineyards are planted in the Petaluma Gap blocks of the Sonoma Coast appellation on a hillside with southwestern exposure. The PetGap vineyards vary from shallow hillsides to deeper and richer valley plantings. These cool growing regions are known for producing some of California's finest Pinot Noir.

Grapes are hand-harvested, destemmed and pumped directly to stainless steel fermenting tanks. After fermentation, the wine was aged for 11 months on 32% new medium plus toasted French oak, giving it subtle vanilla and toffee flavours.

It shows bright red fruit characteristics along with deep colour, lush body, touches of vanilla and spearmint followed by delicate strawberry flavours. All these flavours are wrapped in a quite rich medium bodied framework, lush, rich and polished.

This is a food-friendly wine that can stand up to lamb or roast beef yet won't overpower lighter fish or pasta dishes.
      Absolutely gorgeous with Charcuterie.

Cline Cellars is owned by Nancy Cline. Bot her grandfathers were from Ireland, Gregory Laughlin in County Cork and Bunting from Lurgan, Co Armagh. Both emigrated around 1878 and settled, respectively in Berkley California and Kansas City. The Cline family have maintained regular contact with remaining family and continue to visit the Laughlin and Bunting families today.
