Sartarelli Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico 2017 75cl
The Sartarelli company is one of the few Italian wineries which focuses exclusively on a single varietal production in this case Verdicchio. Our winery and offices are built around our century-old country house. It is located in Poggio San Marcello which is the smallest village in the province of Ancona, a precious gem surrounded by the beautiful rolling hills of the Marche region. The company is situated 350 meters above sea level, on the left of the Esino River, which is the historically traditional area where the wine d.o.c. “Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi” is produced.
The Verdicchio grapes are pressed gently with careful temperature control during the fermentation process. The straw-yellow colour with greenish reflections emphasizes the quality of the grapes as well as the delicate techniques used in its production. It is considered a simple but not common wine, with white peach, elder, hawthorn aromas. A well-structured wine, fresh and sapid at the same time, soft on the palate, has a good alcoholic structure and the characteristic slightly bitter almond aftertaste (typical of this varietal).
It is very versatile and excellent with seafood, hors d’oeuvres, risotto, mixed fried fish and vegetables.
