Poggio ai Ginepri IGT Toscana 2016
60% Vermentino, 30% Sauvignon, 10% Viognier.
Along the charming coast of the Alta Maremma, 100 km to the south-west of Florence, in the small and prestigious DOC Bolgheri area lies Tenuta Argentiera, which is part of the old Estate of Donoratico that once belonged to the Florentine Serristori family.
Hints of pear, banana and apricot, lavander and white flowers with a touch of sage and spice. A long fresh finish with good aromatical and mineral character.
Delightful alongside grilled seabass and seafood risotto.
"The 2016 Vermentino is a fresh and buoyant white wine that offers crisp lines with white flower, citrus and green apple. The wine is breezy and informal with a pretty blast of acidic freshness on the close. 86 Points."
