La Grille Gamay Pinot Noir 2016 75cl
An unusual but delighful blend of two grape varieties more commonly encountered in Burgundy. The finest reds of that region are all created from Pinot Noir while Beaujolais flavoursome reds owe their easy drinkability to the Gamay grape.
Made by Sylvain Miniot in the Loire village of St Pourcain this fruit filled wine is made from low yielding vines to achieve full ripeness. The result is a wine of immediate appeal blending the crushed strawberry and spice flavours typical of the grape varieties.
Serve lightly chilled on its own or with salads chicken or spicy foods.
