The present day Rochettes fronted by winemakers Joël and Matthieu come from a family of winegrowers stretching back several generations. The estate spans an area of 300 metres on a hillside overlooking the Ardières valley offering a panoramic view over the vineyard. The 2015 Beaujolais Villages is crafted from vines grown on granitic soil. It is a wine for all occasions - soft fruity and emminently drinkable. Character abound food friendly and very moreish.
"Light to mid cherry red. Fresh dark-red fruit, hint of pepper. Dry, firm tannins, but refined in structure. Cool, dark and serious but still has Beaujolais energy and refreshment. Moreish and with room to develop in bottle though lovely now. 16.5 Points." (Julia Harding, JR Purple Pages, June 2015)
