“Easily one of my favorite estates from the up-and-coming Ventoux region, Château Pesquié is run by the talented brothers, Alexandre & Frederic Chaudiere. The wines sell for a song, yet always deliver high-quality, loads of character and impeccably made profiles.”

Château Pesquié is a family estate located at the foot of the Ventoux Mountain, in the south of the Rhone Valley, gathering three generations of winemakers. At JN Wine we are proud to showcase these wonderful wines and hope to share the Pesquié passion for unique terroir, hand harvesting, organic practises and biodynamic principles with old vines planted on unique soils.
The Provencal name pesquié is a derivative from Latin “pescarium” meaning fishpond or basin.
A family run winery for 3 generations, the Chaudiere Family who own Château Pesquié, have taken a reasoned, responsible approach to agriculture, being certified currently as organic, with plans to achieve full Biodynamic certification within the next few vintages. To maintain balance in the soil, fertilisation is carried out using only organic, humus-based fertilisers. The Chaudiere Family own their own bottling equipment and bottles their wines at Château Pesquié.
Château Pesquié has one of the coolest microclimates in the south of the Rhône Valley. Due to its proximity to Mount Ventoux, the climate is a mixture of Alpine and Mediterranean. Also, at an elevation of 300-400 metres above sea level, Château Pesquié is the latest ripening estate in this late-ripening appellation, guaranteeing finesse, elegance and freshness, as well as structure and power.
